SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

First Impressions

Set Up Team

This team prepares the foyer and portico for the Sunday services by cleaning and organizing for a fresh look each Sunday that is inviting to all that attend.

Tear Down Team

This team works on a rotation system so you are “on duty” only three months out of the year. It usually takes ½ hour after lunch, and consists of two members so there are always two individuals or families on duty at all times.

Greeters

This team forges the visitor’s first link to the congregation by providing warmth and genuine friendliness. This is not about perfection, but a heartfelt motive and desire to live a life of a spirit-filled believer. A Greeter’s joy in the Lord is evident on their faces and radiates to all they greet.

Lunch Teams

Each one of our Sunday Lunch Cooking Teams exists of approx. 5-6 people who all have the same purpose of making a nutritious meal and providing a time of fellowship for our congregation.
We have 5 Sunday Cooking Teams all with unique ways of making the weekly Sunday lunch happen.
There is always room to join in the fun, call the church office to get more information on which team might fit you and/or your family.

Serve in KidsWorld

Join us as we partner with families to spiritually form their children so they will live for Jesus in this world.

Renewing Hope for Refugees

Renewing Hope for Refugees is an organization JCC learned about during our assistance of the Ukrainian War refugees in late April 2022. Their vision is to help the refugees and their families get familiarized with American ways of life and socialize with their peers in order to develop a strong community support system here in San Diego county. Learn more about them here.  You can help by donating needed goods, or by volunteering some time to help them with basic life skills. Contact Sierra Holcomb (sierra.holcomb91@gmail.com) or Mike Hagan (mhagan093@gmail.com) to learn more.

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

Galatians 6:9-10
