JAMUL COMMUNITY CHURCH, Jamul, California

Every Christian has a
REDEMPTION STORY

The telling of our testimonies can be an engaging way to share the gospel and encourage others.
No matter what your story is, you can glorify God’s greatness by sharing your own story of transformation.
Our summer challenge is to practice and record your testimony in 3 minutes or less. Then, post it on social media using the hashtag #JCCstories. (If you’re not on social media or don’t want to share it there, please email your video or a link to your video to ryan@jamul.org.)

Your video doesn’t have to be perfect, but it should be heartfelt and sincere.
It’s the most powerful and thrilling thing in the world—God’s Good News changing a person’s life and eternity!

As we consider what parts should be in our story, let’s look at Ephesians 2:4-6 and find three parts to our testimonies.

“…we were dead in transgressions…”  Describe the past circumstances that caused you to consider Christ as Lord over all. What did you believe back then and how were you living BEFORE CHRIST? The level of detail about your former life is up to you.
“…because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy…” Explain the moment when you put your trust IN CHRIST. How did God’s truth impact you? Don’t make your testimony ultimately about you. Our story is not about how we turned our own lives around by starting to make good choices (like going to church or reading our Bibles). Our testimonies are about God and how he brought us from death to life.
"And God raised us up with Christ…” How is your life different WITH CHRIST? What hope do you have today? What victories have you experienced? Explain how Christ has blessed you, but do not communicate that all your struggles and problems ended at conversion.
